JOB OVERVIEW:

Our Greenwood Village, CO team specializes in insuring large, complex client accounts in the real estate & development industries. The Casualty Liability Claims Advocate is responsible for managing and advocating on behalf of our clients throughout the lifecycle of casualty insurance claims. This role serves as a strategic partner to clients, producers, third party administrators, carriers, and internal teams, ensuring claims are handled efficiently, coverage is maximized, and outcomes are optimized.

 

LOCATION: Primarily in-office: This role must work in our Greenwood Village, CO office. Candidates can work from home up to five days every month, with the entire month of August being flexible.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • REQUIRED: At least 5 years of casualty claims experiencing, preferably with large, complex policies and accounts.
  • Real estate and professional liability experience is nice to have but not required.
  • MUST HAVE: Strong sense of urgency and thoroughness. This successful team handles large accounts for clients, so speed to respond while also being accurate is of the utmost importance.
  • Candidates with exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal - to communicate in a prompt and professional manner with internal & external stakeholders.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and insurance carriers regarding all claims matters.
  • Evaluate coverage, report claims, and manage documentation.
  • Monitor claim progress and maintain proactive communication with adjusters, TPAs, clients, and producers.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on claim resolution, settlement strategies, and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct formal claims reviews and participate in client presentations and stewardship meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Identify claim trends and develop strategies to reduce claim frequency and severity.
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance contracts, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Uphold EPIC's service standards and contribute to a positive team culture.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in casualty claims, commercial claims adjusting, or corporate risk management.
  • Experience handling multi-line property & casualty claims, with emphasis on real estate exposures.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Skilled in coverage analysis, negotiation, and claims strategy.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment and professionalism in handling sensitive situations.

 

COMPENSATION: 

The national average salary for this role is $100,000 - $135,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
