First Student is hiring immediately for a Painter/Body Man for our shop!
As a Painter/Body Man at First Student, you will play an essential role in maintaining the appearance and structural integrity of our fleet of buses. You'll ensure our vehicles remain safe and reliable for the children who depend on us to get to and from school each day.

About First Student's Painter/Body Man Position
As a Painter/Body Man at First Student, your main focus will be on restoring and maintaining the exterior of our fleet of buses. You will use your skills to repair dents, rust, and body damage while providing high-quality paint jobs. This position involves both repair and refinishing work, ensuring our buses are not only structurally sound but also have a clean, professional appearance.
Your day will include the following responsibilities:
- Repairing and replacing damaged body panels and components
- Performing high-quality painting and refinishing of buses
- Sanding, buffing, and prepping vehicles for paint
- Diagnosing and repairing body damage, including rust removal and dent repairs
- Applying protective coatings, primers, and finishes to vehicle surfaces
- Conducting inspections of body and paintwork for quality control
- Maintaining tools and equipment for optimal performance
You might be a great fit for our Painter/Body Man role if:
- You have 3 or more years of experience in automotive or industrial painting and body repair
- You are skilled in working with a variety of body materials (steel, aluminum, fiberglass, etc.)
- You have a valid driver's license
- You are familiar with vehicle safety standards and OSHA regulations
- You have a strong attention to detail and take pride in your craftsmanship
- You are looking to grow and develop your skillset through hands-on experience and training
