Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Commissioning Manager (m/f/d) - Data Centre specialized in Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear and Modular Power Solutions for data centre projecs and located in the Frankfurt am Main area in Germany.

Reporting to the Site Servies Manager, EMEA, the Commissioning Manager (m/f/d) - Data Centre will take full ownership of the commissioning phase—from planning through to completion—ensuring all LV systems and modular solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work on some of the most significant and technically advanced data centre projects in the region, collaborating closely with project teams, clients, and key stakeholders

 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead and manage the commissioning process for LV switchgear and modular power systems across multiple data centre projects.
  • Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with design, installation, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Perform system testing, inspection, verification, and validation of LV and modular equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations, company standards, and client specifications.
  • Provide technical support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Identify and resolve commissioning issues or deviations in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, reports, and sign-off records.
  • Supervise and mentor junior commissioning engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.


 

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Proven experience commissioning LV switchgear, control panels, or modular power systems (preferably in data centre or critical power environments).
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and testing procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of commissioning standards, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and single-line diagrams.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing abilities.
  • Willingness to travel for project assignments.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a related field (commissioning, electrical engineering, or site management).
  • Relevant technical qualification (e.g., Electrical Engineering or similar) preferred.
  • Solid understanding of QHSE regulations, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
  • Eligible to work & travel in the EU.
  • Full clean and valid german driving license and willingness to travel to site locations as required.
  • Fluent English and German knowledge both in written and spoken form.
