Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams, we're looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing SMT and Press‑Fit equipment. Ensures equipment reliability, performance, and compliance with preventive maintenance plans. Leads a small team, executes installations, calibrations, and supports continuous improvement for equipment capability and safety.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Troubleshoots SMT and Press‑Fit equipment, identifying failures in electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Performs repairs, component replacements, and adjustments on advanced equipment.
  • Updates daily status of equipment performance and issues.
  • Conducts preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Performs calibrations and re‑qualifications (electrical, pneumatic, optical).
  • Programs and optimizes:
    • ASM (SIPLACE/DEK): feeders, nozzles, vision, OEE improvement.
    • Koh Young: SPI/AOI tuning, SPC analysis, false‑call reduction.
    • Heller: thermal profile setup and validation.
    • Hayawin / YJLink: line flow, buffer configuration, SMEMA integration.
    • Camalot: dispense volume control, epoxy handling, valve maintenance.
    • TE Connectivity Press‑Fit: force/displacement control, setup optimization, defect analysis.
  • Leads equipment start‑ups, testing, and commissioning.
  • Documents logs, maintenance actions, and corrective reports.
  • Supports audits, continuous improvement, and reliability initiatives.
  • Trains technicians, assigns tasks, and ensures adherence to maintenance procedures.
  • Promotes safety and compliance with technical standards.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS in Engineering or related field.
  • Senior experience in equipment maintenance or operations leadership.
  • Advanced English (technical communication).
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, and automation.
  • Hands‑on experience with ASM, Koh Young, Heller, Hayawin, YJLink, Camalot, and Press‑Fit.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and SMT/Press‑Fit technical manuals.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience supervising personnel.
