Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Fabrication Coordinator for the evening shift at our Dundalk site in Ireland.

Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, the Fabrication Coordinator – Evening Shift role involves ensuring on-time finished component delivery to our assembly teams through our CNC programming, steel and copper fabrication, welding and powder coating equipment.  

What a typical day looks like:

  • Assisting the Fabrication Manager in project planning and execution and overseeing fabrication processes.
  • Coordinate logistics and delivery of fabrication products across all sites
  • Working with the Fabrication and Production Managers to ensure component delivery timelines are met to the correct quality and efficiency standards.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements.
  • Reporting any additional production requests and costs to the Fabrication Manager.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the fabrication team ensuring appropriate visibility for production requirements.
  • Drive process improvements with a focus on improving efficiency
  • Managing Team Leaders effectively, including holidays, absences and flexibility to ensure production is not disrupted.
  • Managing each Team Leader's work, output and ability to report to the Fabrication Manager.
  • Managing Fabrication team members to ensure standards of behaviour and discipline are met and maintained.
  • Assisting in the recruitment process for Fabrication employees.
  • Training and development of fabrication personnel and facilitating improvement where required.
  • Ensures all employees are working to the correct Health & Safety standards and that all equipment and the fabrication environment is maintained and operated in a safe manner.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • 3+ years' experience in a metal fabrication environment with a strong working knowledge of CNC machining and metal fabrication processes.
  • 2+ years' experience in management / supervisory capacity.
  • Production background who thrives on a demanding and challenging environment
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, Word and Project
  • Effective communicator to senior and middle management
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Organised, dependable and excellent time management.
  • Ability to organise own workload and use initiative.
  • Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to implement performance measures to ensure production standards are met.
  • Adaptable problem solver.
  • Experience in 3D CAD software (Solidworks/Autodesk inventor).
  • Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read technical drawings is essential.
