Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an [Field Applications Engineer] located in [TW Taipei Wugu Site].

The role reports to the Global Production Quality Lead and supports Onsite OSV, quality issue handling and build relationship customers in Taipei.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Onsite Verifications for customer RMAs before return to factory, OSV test report/ FA report prepared.
  • Taipei customer factory compliant issue onsite verification and initial failure analysis.
  • Flex and customer site test conditions /tester gap analysis when handling the quality issue.
  • OSV fixture maintains and optimized, SOP and setup at customer side if needed.
  • Customer site sorting /rework etc. support if needed.
  • Following up the Flex product quality status and quality performance in Taipei customer factory, Coordinate customer and internal teams to quickly respond to related problems.
  • Visit customers termly and build good relationships with customers in Taipei.
  • Responsible for working with the relevant teams to collaborate and develop improvement plans for field return and the roll out of these improvement plans and best practices across all manufacturing sites.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to site quality and implement mitigation strategies.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • College degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, New Energy, Mechatronics or related majors.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in switching power supply, battery pack, BMS engineering analysis or testing; familiar with PSU/BBU/Power rack manufacturing process.
  • Familiar with common power supply testing schematic, such as Hi-pot test, auto functional test. FRU test etc.
  • Familiar with the tester operation related AC/DC source, Electronic Load, Hi-pot tester, Chroma test system, Oscilloscope, PM-bus reading etc.
  • Familiar with PSU working principle, able to read schematics and PCB layout.
  • Familiar with lithium battery PACK structure, BMS functions, protection logic and communication protocols (I2C/CAN/SMBus).
  • Proficient in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads and power analyzers, Hi-pot tester ,Chroma test system, Oscilloscope,PM-bus reading etc.
  • Able to complete failure analysis, risk assessment, DFMEA/PFMEA and professional technical reports independently.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and customers.  
  • Familiar with typical office software (Email/Word/Excel/PPT, etc.)
  • Responsible, detail‑oriented, good at data analysis and cross‑department communication, able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English
