Job SummaryFlex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Global Mobility Specialist located in Guadalajara North.
Reporting to the Global Mobility Director the Global Mobility Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for immigration and relocation processes in Mexico, while supporting mobility initiatives across the company. This role will partner closely with employees, candidates, HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, external immigration providers, and global mobility stakeholders to ensure seamless employee mobility experience while maintaining compliance with immigration and relocation policies.
What a typical day looks like:
- Act as the primary point of contact for immigration and mobility programs in Mexico.
- Manage immigration processes for foreign national employees and candidates, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with external immigration law firms regarding work authorizations, visa applications, extensions, status changes, and immigration compliance matters.
- Prepare business visa invitation letters and other mobility-related documentation.
- Monitor and maintain employer registrations and required documentation with immigration authorities.
- Oversee domestic and international relocation activities for new hires and employees relocating to or within Mexico.
- Support relocation activities involving employee transfers between the United States and Mexico.
- Provide support with the US relocation program, working closely with the Global Mobility Manager in the US.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, and HR Business Partners to facilitate relocation and immigration processes.
- Prepare relocation cost estimates and support mobility-related financial administration and reporting.
- Maintain accurate employee mobility records, reports, databases, and documentation.
- Assist with international assignments, permanent transfers, extended business trips, and global mobility program administration.
- Support tax compliance activities by coordinating with Payroll, vendors, and employees on mobility-related tax requirements.
- Track and manage frequent business traveler activities and mobility compliance requirements.
- Review and coordinate mobility-related invoices and vendor payments.
- Analyze mobility metrics and prepare regular and ad hoc reports to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively with regional and global mobility teams across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia when required.
- Drive excellent employee experience by providing guidance and support throughout the immigration and relocation journey.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Consistent experience in Human Resources or Global Mobility area with reasonable understanding of Mexican immigration regulations and relocation processes would be appreciated.
- Experience partnering with government entities, and external vendors.
- Ability to work effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.
