Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add an Industrial Engineer located in Guadalajara, North.

Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Manager, this role is primarily focused on capacity planning and labor optimization, leading initiatives that improve productivity, reduce downtime, and strengthen operational performance.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Calculate direct labor requirements and determine the number of stations needed to support production capacity and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and develop a team, ensuring strong execution, accountability, and people performance.
  • Monitor and drive key labor metrics such as OLE (Overall Labor Efficiency) and LU (Labor Utilization) to improve workforce productivity.
  • Analyze and attack downtime through strong follow-up actions, identifying root causes and implementing decisive improvements to eliminate non-value-added time.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Process, and other engineering teams to coordinate improvement actions that increase capacity, remove bottlenecks, and sustain operational gains.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize workflows, labor performance, and line balance.
  • Coordinate installations for new projects and expansion initiatives, ensuring readiness of layouts, resources, and labor capacity to support business growth.
  • Drive capacity studies and operational readiness plans to ensure the plant can support current demand and future business requirements.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced English level.
  • Experience in capacity analysis within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams.
  • Strong experience managing labor metrics such as OLE and LU, and leading effective action plans to reduce downtime.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies; Green Belt certification is desirable.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, layout movements, and coordination of new project installations and plant expansions.
