We are seeking a Materials Manager who will be In charge of overseeing activities related to the procurement of Direct materials, parts, components and
equipment. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in procurement consistent with delivery requirements and quality specifications.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
  • Establishes goals for purchasing department.
  • Follow-up policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
  • Manage and guide a team of buyers and expeditors to meet procurement and supplier management goals
  • Interface with procurement groups in updating and maintaining company procurement strategies
  • Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and Purchase Price Variance
  • Helping implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory models
  • Supervise the team in the management of the supply chain to achieve continuous timely supply of parts and services
  • Approves purchase orders and change notices through subordinates.
  • Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience  and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practices.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process
    management skills as well as supplier (external and internal) relationship skills.
  • Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.

Pay Range (Applicable to Massachusetts) $95,900.00 USD - $131,800.00 USD Annual Job Category Global Procurement & Supply Chain
