Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Subject Matter Expert – Legal Operations located in Chennai location.
This role is responsible for managing the organization's Records Management function while providing strategic and operational support to Corporate Governance and Legal Operations. The incumbent will ensure robust control over corporate records, strengthen governance practices, and drive efficiency through process optimization, cost discipline, and digital enablement.

What a typical day looks like:
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide records management systems to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and business requirements
Establish and maintain records classification frameworks, retention schedules, and secure storage and retrieval processes
Oversee the lifecycle of corporate records, including digitization, archival, and disposal, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and audit readiness
Support Corporate Governance activities, including global entity records management, maintenance of governance documentation, and centralized repositories
Support Legal Operations by managing legal repositories, contract records, and documentation standardization
Oversee legal operations processes, including invoice review and tracking, ensuring accuracy, timely approvals, and compliance with internal policies
Manage engagement with external law firms, including onboarding, engagement documentation, performance monitoring, and billing governance
Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen controls around data privacy, confidentiality, and access management for sensitive records
Manage and optimize document management systems and repositories in coordination with IT and relevant stakeholders
Generate reports and dashboards on records compliance, legal operations metrics, and governance performance to support decision-making
Identify and mitigate risks related to records management, governance documentation, legal operations processes, and regulatory compliance
Partner with cross-functional and global teams to drive consistent, scalable, and compliant records, governance, and legal operations practices.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Bachelor's degree from a reputed university (LLB preferred but not mandatory)
2–5 years of experience in records management, legal operations, corporate governance, contract management, or similar roles in an LPO, law firm, or multinational organization.
Hands-on experience with AI-enabled legal tools (e.g., contract review platforms, legal research tools, Microsoft Copilot or similar)
Working knowledge of Generative AI and its application in legal workflows
Experience with automation tools, workflows, or AI-driven solutions
