Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Software Development Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the role involves designing, developing, implementing, and supporting software solutions geared toward test systems, diagnostics, and hardware/software integration for manufacturing. You will participate in the development of new applications, implementation of engineering changes, support for NPI (New Product Introduction), and optimization of platforms that enable test data capture, analysis, and management, contributing to the quality and efficiency of production processes.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve software applications for test systems, diagnostics, and manufacturing.

  • Integrate test hardware, instruments, and automated equipment with software applications for data acquisition and analysis.

  • Design and develop tools, scripts, utilities, and applications to support production and validation processes.

  • Analyze test results and develop solutions for managing, storing, and visualizing data from manufacturing equipment.

  • Participate in troubleshooting activities to identify and resolve issues related to test systems, hardware, software, and cross-platform communication.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and NPI teams to implement new solutions and engineering changes.

  • Develop and implement continuous improvements for existing applications and participate in greenfield/from-scratch development for new solutions.

  • Contribute to the scalable implementation of technology solutions that generate value for internal and external customers.

  • Adhere to Flex standards, methodologies, and best practices during the execution of all activities.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Experience in software development for test and manufacturing systems.

  • Programming proficiency in Python and/or C++.

  • Hardware/software integration with test instruments and equipment.

  • Database management and test result analysis.

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting diagnostic and test systems.

  • Advanced English proficiency.
