Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Test Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to Process Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.
What a typical day looks like:
- Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
- Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
- Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
- Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
- May develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
- Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques.
- Resolves test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
- Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Actively explores and implements new technologies and test methodologies.
- Assesses testing process alternatives and drives improvements.
- Ensure test strategy risks are documented and mitigated.
- Manages risks associated with testing activities and takes proactive action.
- Plans and coordinates meetings, workshops, and interactions with stakeholders across development and testing phases
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Electronics, mechatronics or related.
- Advanced English level.
- Proven experience with RX, AOI, and AXI inspection systems, including ViTrox and Koh Young equipment, supporting SMT manufacturing and failure analysis activities.
- Experience in similar position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in functional testing and system integration.
- Test instrumentation experience.
- Advanced programming knowledge.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations
- Advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
