Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Test Engineer located in Guadalajara, North.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment. 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing. 

  • Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data. 

  • Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues. 

  • Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel. 

  • May develops or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software. 

  • Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques. 

  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives such as reducing false failures, equipment downtime and diagnostic inventory, while improving test yield.

  • Strong ability to collect data and perform statistical analysis to support project continuous improvement activities.

  • Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production. 

  • Create and maintain process documentation. 

  • Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector. 

  • Defines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations. 

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.

  • Solid experience supporting functional, in-circuit and hipot testing for PCBAs, electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies and box-level products.

  • Experience diagnosing electrical failures from functional tests at PCBA, assembly and electronic sub-assembly levels.

  • Experience integrating, installing, designing and supporting electrical test equipment, test hardware, computer platforms and interfaces.

  • Hands-on experience using electrical test instruments such as power supplies and electronic loads.

  • Experience in manufacturing projects where products such as power supplies, batteries or computer servers are built and tested.

  • Experience providing technical support to production lines for electronic assemblies.

  • Experience collecting data and performing statistical analysis to support project continuous improvement activities.

  • Intermediate English level.

  • Availability to support production needs according to business requirements.
