Description

The Assistant Project Lead - New Store Operations monitors and organizes the timely completion of tasks to ensure that store opening goals are accomplished and that communication effectively occurs between the project manager and new store personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads directives as assigned to ensure timeline goals are completed for store opening
  • Assists in training and guides new store staff through set-up process
  • Executes planograms within allotted time frame
  • Responsible for set-up of display tables and fixtures according to HFT standard and presentation
  • Provides merchandising for store opening
  • Ensures signage is accurate and displayed properly
  • Responsible for pricing or merchandise
  • Point of Sale set-up
  • Oversees warehouse set-up and freight processing
  • Trains new store staff in preparation of timely store opening
  • Trains and guides new store staff in safety procedures
  • Facilitates communication between store project manager and the store team
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

Job Qualifications – Education and Experience
  • 2+ years' experience in a retail environment
  • Computer literate; POS, Excel, Word
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Effective in giving verbal instructions
  • Works well under pressure
  • Flexible time schedule
  • Collaborates well within a team
Physical Requirements
Store environment requiring ability to:
  • speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
  • use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
  • follow safety standards during new store construction and completion
  • stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time
  • bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach to heights on an intermittent basis for up to seven hours a day
  • hand manipulation requires simple grasping, power grasping, pushing and pulling of materials and fine manipulation
  • reach and work above and below the shoulder level is performed on an intermittent basis for up to six hours a day
  • climb up, climb down, and work upon ladders and stairs, including lifting and moving items from elevations
  • drive and work around forklifts
  • lift and carry items weighing 25lbs or less up to eight hours a day.  Individuals typically lift and carry items weighing between 26 and 50 pounds on an intermittent basis up to six hours a day
  • Work within health and safety standards around construction materials, including dust, noise and airborne particles
