Description
The Corporate Facilities Site Lead is the primary on-site facilities professional responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of up to two corporate facilities within the South Carolina market. This hands-on leadership role combines technical maintenance expertise, vendor management, budgeting, and operational ownership to support business continuity and workplace excellence.
Serving as the dedicated on-site Facilities resource, this position partners closely with a centralized multi-state Facilities team to ensure alignment with corporate standards, systems, strategic initiatives, and escalation processes. The position reports directly to the Corporate Facilities Manager.
Success in this role requires the ability to balance independent decision-making, vendor coordination, and hands-on technical execution while maintaining facility performance, supporting business operations, and driving continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Serve as the primary on-site facilities contact for assigned locations.
- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of building systems
- Ensure facility uptime, operational readiness, cleanliness, and overall site functionality.
- Respond to facility emergencies, equipment failures, and critical facility issues.
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers across assigned sites
- Oversee work quality, safety compliance, and scope execution
- Support landlord and property management coordination compliant to lease obligations
- Manage work orders, maintenance requests, and service prioritization
- Maintain accurate CMMS records, reporting, and facility documentation
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and supporting administrative tasks
- Comply with corporate SOP's, reporting standards and internal controls
- Maintain OSHA, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Conduct inspections and support risk mitigation efforts
- Escalate operational risks and critical facility concerns
- Manage CapEx and OpEx facility-related spending
- Track bids, invoices, accruals, and cost reporting
- Identify cost-control and operational efficiency opportunities
- Partner with Corporate Facilities and cross-functional teams
- Provide updates on site conditions, priorities, and project status

Requirements
Education and Experience
Education Requirements
- Minimum: 2 Year / Associate's Degree or vocational school certification
- Preferred: 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6-8+ years of progressive facilities maintenance or building operations experience, including responsibility for vendor management, troubleshooting, and independent site support
- Strong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression)
- Advanced knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS, and fire/life safety systems.
- Strong experience using CMMS platforms for work orders, asset tracking, preventive maintenance, and reporting.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and automated building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience with preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Strong vendor, contractor, and service provider coordination skills.
- Solid understanding of safety standards and compliance requirements, including Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, and NEC guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and standard business software applications.
- Ability to safely operate standard hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Exposure to PLC systems, industrial controls, or automated equipment.
- Ability to use standard hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Regular on-site attendance is required to support daily facility operations, maintenance, vendor coordination, and site readiness across assigned locations
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
- Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical, HVAC, or related skilled trade license/certification.
- Forklift, aerial lift, or scissor lift certification.
- OSHA training or certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
Corporate Facilities –
- Standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching heights on an intermittent basis for up to eight hours per day.
- Maintain industrial machines, moving furniture and equipment, and extensive use of hand and power tools.
- Hand manipulation including simple grasping, power grasping, pushing and pulling of materials, and fine manipulation.
- Reach and work above and below the shoulder level is frequently performed on a continuous basis for as many as five hours a day.
- Lift and carry items weighing 25-75lbs or less on a frequent basis throughout the day or work week.
- Drive automobiles, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
- Work with hazardous machinery and power tools on a regular basis.
- Perform tasks while using a ladder up to fifteen feet in elevation above floor surface.
Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
