Essential Duties:
- Oversees the analysis and design of Lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and tools to optimize use of space, equipment, material and personnel
- Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of processes and related equipment
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results
- Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
- Develops work aids and/or documentation for products in order to train assembly personnel
- Applies statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency
- Represents manufacturing and/or engineering on cross-functional teams
Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years related experience required including but not limited to technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment, and machine tooling/design
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen events
- Experience AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs; CNC programming experience is desired; strong knowledge in written product specifications
- Ability to organize and manage multiple products through manufacturing process
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors and employees/managers at all levels within the company
- Possesses excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Experience in ERP systems, SAP desired
