Note: The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate#s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient-centered#care.# Our Orthopedic Surgeons team is seeking a Radiologic Technician to perform diagnostic Orthopedic X‑rays on patients. Overview of responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform diagnostic orthopedic X-rays according to physician orders, ensuring age-appropriate and patient-centered care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors, adapting to physical, cognitive, and cultural needs. Adhere to professional, legal, and ethical standards, taking responsibility for actions and patient care. Accurately document procedures, consents, and patient education according to hospital and compliance policies. Follow radiation safety protocols, maintain a safe working environment, and identify/manage risks. Prepare patients and X-ray suites for examinations, including stocking equipment, supplies, and linens. Process charges daily for procedures performed and maintain accurate billing records. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment, collaborating with the Bio-Medical Department as needed. Participate in quality control, continuing education, in-service trainings, and department meetings to maintain up-to-date skills. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, manage inventory of equipment and supplies, and communicate departmental needs to supervisors. Qualifications: Education:#Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology Licenses/Registrations: Current Massachusetts license as Radiologic#Technologist Experience: Six#months experience as a Radiology Technologist. Special Aptitudes # Activities:#The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate effectively to patients and colleagues. Strong clerical, computer, and organizational skills, along with knowledge of radiologic equipment and procedures, attention to detail, and manual dexterity are required. Candidates must be able to respond calmly to emergencies, maintain positive interactions with patients, and perform tasks requiring normal vision and spatial awareness.
