Description

Hiring a FP&A Analyst in the Chicago area. The Analyst, FP&A will play a critical role in assisting the coordination and execution of business planning, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis. He will partner with business leaders to provide input and guidance on business issues and to provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the line(s) of business. This role will report to the Director, FP&A. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs month-end review of results to ensure accuracy. * Prepares and presents monthly financial review package to management, including commenting on variances to plan, forecast and prior year. Call out areas of risk, opportunity and make recommendations. * Own the budget process and assist the business units with the preparation of their annual plan. Consolidate the data and prepare the package for the leadership. * Support the preparation of the monthly Forecast with the business units. Review and challenge the inputs. Consolidate the forecast and track it against actual performance to deliver insight to be used by upper management. * Complete weekly business reviews, make callouts and generate performance commentary for senior leadership * Provide leadership with insights into the company’s financial health and trends. * Build medium to complex models to attend the business demand. * Prepare monthly presentations for leadership. * Develop KPIs to support the organization. Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators to help identify potential risks or opportunities. * Works with business users to refine and improve current reporting and analysis, often performing ad hoc reporting to support end users. * Articulate financial concepts to non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner. As an Employer of Choice, ID Logistics invests in you by providing a comprehensive benefits program that offers a valuable, affordable benefit plan package that includes medical, dental, vision, employer paid life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, generous paid time off along with other supplemental benefits. * Medical, Dental, Vision (1 day of the next month of hire) (Options available) * 401K with matching program * STD, LTD * Vacation and sick time * Friendly and Open-Door culture Salary range for this position is $95,000- $125,000 per year EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance desired * MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or finance preferred * FP&A certification preferred REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS: * Strong understanding of financial/accounting principles and concepts, including financial reporting, modeling, and budgeting * Strong expertise of MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite Knowledge of appropriate accounting and financial modeling software programs * Ability to collaborate across departments to gather inputs, challenge the team and ensure accurate financial planning. * Working experience with accounting software and reporting software.
