What are we looking for?
This Area Manager is responsible for directing, leading and controlling the administrative operational and testing function in the Area Offices. Ensure that these functions are carried out in a safe, legal and ethical manner. To implement, maintain and enforce in the Operations Department Caleb Brett's plans for: Quality Management, Safety and Health, Environmental Compliance, Legal and Ethical Compliance and training. To ensure that in carrying out the above responsibilities the Branch turns a fair and reasonable profit for Intertek.
This position will travel at least 30% of the time.
Shift/Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional weekends, as business needs dictate
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $120,000- $175,000, plus incentives. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:
- Manage the branch Inspection, testing and administration activities.
- Maintain high standards of customer relations and service.
- Oversee hiring of new employees and performance management of the Branch's Crew Members.
- Develop a culture of employee engagement within the branch.
- Prepare Branch budgets and develop systems to control operating costs.
- Seek new business and penetrate further existing customers.
- Ensure that all Branch reporting is done accurately and timely.
- To conduct safety meetings, to keep personnel informed of occurrences and decisions relating to safety and to evaluate continually the safety of Operations working conditions and arrange for necessary corrections to be made

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Ten plus years' experience in the Petroleum Industry, preferably in Inspection, Laboratory or Regulatory.
- Knowledge of Petroleum Inspection/testing processes and a familiarity with the significance of quality data as generated by test methods.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to engage clients and potential clients.
- Proven success developing high functioning integrated employee teams.
- Knowledge of ASTM standards and government regulations.
- Proficiency in operating systems with the ability to learn and train employees in system upgrades.

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven ability to grow revenue and control costs.
- Bachelor's degree helpful
- Experience in Managing Area and Branch
- Other skills or certifications are preferred
