Operations Coordinator, Petroleum Inspections- Onsite

What are we looking for?
The Operations Coordinator will support the Cargo & Analytical Assessment business by communicating with our internal and external clients ensuring that we deliver our services accurately. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, business acumen, excellent customer service, dependable & reliable, organized, and can set priorities.
Shift/Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm Daily, Mon Thru Fri with occasional OT
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $102,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Duties:
Establish inspection procedures on ships, barges, plant inventories, and internal tank transfers and procedures for uncertainty estimation, sampling, calculation, and custody transfers. Use API standards with extensive hands-on experience across a wide range of bulk liquids, including petroleum products, chemicals, and specialized cargoes. Operate diverse measurement equipment, interpret complex calibration tables, and apply accurate sampling methods such as running, composite, and average samples. Adapt procedures unique to marine and land-based storage conditions, ensuring both accuracy and compliance in high-value, high-risk operations. Serve as the local contact in interpreting any issues involving administration of the contract. Maintain the flow of Communication between the responsible parties involved in job assignments; organize their requested services; relay available information concerning the hazards and other properties of the product dealt with and manage communication among all parties to resolve problems in a responsive manner. Collect information provided by Inspectors, communicate with the laboratory regarding analysis performed, and assemble a final report ready for publishing. Maintain account receivable balances and maintain complete and accurate records on closed jobs for purposes of billing, volume reconciliation, and claims handling. Coordinate with corporate business development to derive an overall marketing plan for particular customers, to visit customers and jobsites. Perform annual performance appraisals in accordance with his level of supervisory responsibility. This position requires 15% domestic travel.

Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED in Automotive Engineering Technology or closely related field and two (2) years of experience.
Special Skills:
- Two (2) years of experience in an inspection company or related field
- Petroleum and chemical inspection procedures
- Contract interpretation
- Testing Petroleum and Renewable Fuels commodities that are at the core of the business, and of the significance of quality test data
- Interpret and apply API MPMS Chapters 3, 7, 8, 11, 12, and 17, including temperature/volume correction factors, shore tank measurements, and custody transfer calculations
- ASTM test methods applicable to refined fuels and chemical products, including but not limited to D4052, D5002, D4928, D4807, D86, D93, D445, D4294, D2622, D1319, and D6304
- Refined fuel specifications such as ASTM D1655 (Jet Fuel), and the ability to recognize off-spec trends during testing
- Operating systems including Phoenix, C-Bis, Sample Manager, ICAM, etc.
