Senior HR Business Partner - Global Operations

Intertek is searching for a Senior HR Business Partner to be based in our office in The Woodlands, Texas, supporting a multi-site operation which bring Quality, Safety, and Sustainability to Life. This position will support a variety of oil & gas service operations as well as our new solar energy consultative business.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about employees and engagement programs, have an influential leadership style, and be experienced with a broad HR Generalist background to provide strategic as well as tactical, hands-on support. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a global organization, partnering with diverse businesses that are positioned for growth.

**This position has a flexible work location with onsite 2 days per week**

 Here's What You'll Do:

  • Support fast-paced, complex and dynamic businesses with employees across multiple states and countries 
  • Partner with global leaders to assess employee talent, develop employee growth plans, and create and implement engagement strategies and activities
  • Facilitate virtual employee town halls and leadership learning initiatives
  • Support the alignment of the business across sites and regions, including integration with HR processes, policies, strategies and programs 
  • Guide managers as it relates to HR people data including working in and with our global HRIS
  • Collaborate with Managers to lead and action recruiting and hiring top talent for the business
  • Review processes, and develop and implement new processes, as part of our continuous improvement culture
  • Act as primary point of contact for employees for guidance on policies and processes
  • Conduct investigations into complaints such as harassment, discrimination, and other employee concerns; make recommendations and facilitate resolution
  • Provide training and guidance on employee appraisals and the annual pay review processes
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and provide advice to managers
  • Oversee employee leaves of absence, including providing guidance to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with FMLA and ADAA and analyzing return to work restrictions and accommodations
  • Manage the work authorization process, as needed, in conjunction with local HR and Immigration Counsel
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws within a global environment
  • Foster an inclusive culture

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • Require Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related area  
  • Require 10+ years related HR generalist experience 
  • At least 4+ years HR management experience supporting a complex multi-site, multi-state organization 
  • Experience working in a global organization, and across various countries is preferred
  • Experience making independent decisions on complex HR related matters 
  • Experience with acquisitions, and/or integrating businesses 
  • Experience conducting analytical and detailed complaint investigations, such as for discrimination or harassment
  • Excellent consultative, organizational, analytical, collaboration and empowerment skills
  • Proven examples of continued self-education/knowledge of local, state and federal law applications and HR policies and practices as related to position
  • Travel flexibility as required by business needs (up to 15%)
  • HR Certification from HRCI or SHRM (preferred)
