Overview
We have immediate opportunity for Senior Accountant. They will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close process for JDA TSG and will report directly to the Controller. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely and reliable financial statements, and supporting management with analysis and insights.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment supporting multiple stakeholders.
What You Will Do
General Accounting & Month-End Close:
- Own and perform key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, AP, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, intercompany, etc.)
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to U.S. GAAP
- Analyze variances against budget/forecast and prior periods; provide clear, concise explanations and actionable insights to management
- Assist with preparation of supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., banks, auditors, tax advisors, lenders)
Revenue, Billing & AR:
- Support revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting policies and contracts
- Oversee client invoicing and billing processes; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation
- Monitor accounts receivable aging, support collections efforts, and help improve DSO and cash flow
AP, Expenses & Cash Management:
- Review vendor invoices and employee expense reports for accuracy, coding, and policy compliance
- Support weekly payment runs and cash disbursements; help maintain accurate cash forecasts
- Support payroll-related accounting and reconciliation activities, including reviewing ADP payroll reports, reconciling payroll-related balance sheet accounts, and partnering with Payroll/HR to resolve discrepancies
- Assist in maintaining strong internal controls over purchasing, disbursements, and approvals
Policies, Controls & Process Improvement:
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate accounting processes and reporting
- Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and related tools
Audit & Compliance:
- Coordinate with external auditors; prepare schedules and respond to audit inquiries
- Assist with tax compliance support, including gathering information for corporate income tax, sales/use tax, and other statutory filings (in partnership with external advisors as needed)
Cross-Functional Support:
- Partner with operations, FP&A, HR, and other internal teams to ensure accounting alignment with business activities
- Support ad hoc analysis, special projects, and client-facing work as needed
Who You Are
Education & Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred but not required
Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including time at a Big 4 or national public accounting firm and/or within a professional services environment
- Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general corporate accounting practices
- Experience with month-end close, GL accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., IES, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, basic modeling and analysis)
- Comfort working with cloud-based tools and collaboration platforms

Qualifications
