Description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Birmingham, AL for the 2026–2027 school year! This is a full-time building support role providing a local K–12 district with nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Active LPN license in Alabama
  • Current BLS CPR/AED certification
  • Pediatric and private duty nursing experience preferred
  • Required: catheterization, seizure mangement, med pass
  • Additional: School-based experience, O2 monitoring, G-tubes, VNS, trach care/suctioning, ventilator care, diabetic management, EpiPen, Diastat, J-tube

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist building nurses with screenings and documentation review
  • Provide first aid care and daily medication management
  • Rotate through classrooms or buildings to administer medications, tube feedings, diabetic care, and other student health needs
  • Serve as a private duty nurse (PDN) for students with medical needs such as diabetes management, seizure management, or G-tube feedings
