3rd Shift Logistics Supervisor
Location:
Summerville, SC
Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday–Friday (with weekend overtime as needed)
Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time Position Summary:

The 3rd Shift Logistics Supervisor will lead night shift logistics operations, including material flow, shipping/receiving, inventory management, and team leadership. This role ensures efficient, safe, and compliant operations in support of production goals and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise shipping, receiving, picking, and line-side material delivery
  • Conduct daily inventory and weekly 5S audits
  • Communicate shift updates and coordinate with other shift leaders

  • Ensure timely and accurate shipment of customer orders and safe loading practices

  • Use SAP to monitor order status, inventory levels, and replenishment

  • Interface with internal departments and external customers/suppliers

  • Lead safety initiatives and enforce site safety protocols

  • Conduct employee training and manage team schedules, timekeeping, and performance

  • Support and implement Lean practices including 5S, Kanban, and visual management

  • Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001-2015, and customer requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation Management)

  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing

  • 2–3 years of leadership experience in logistics or related functions

  • Experience with SAP ERP system

  • Background in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO/IATF standards

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to plan, train, and direct a team effectively

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance

  • Familiar with logistics KPIs and continuous improvement processes

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting (up to 40 lbs), and use of material handling equipment

  • Work conducted in both office and manufacturing environments with exposure to dust, fumes, and noise

  • Ability to stand/move about the facility up to 90% of the shift

  • Computer use and terminal work required (80% of time)
