Position Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports and costing audits within a manufacturing environment. This role requires familiarity with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures, including cost accounting. The Accountant will perform a variety of tasks under general supervision, relying on judgment and limited experience to achieve objectives. Creativity and a certain degree of latitude are valued in this position.

Location: Miami, FL
Pay: $30/hr
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cost reports and conduct costing audits
• Reconcile monthly accounts for inventory received but not billed
• Execute month-end closing activities and provide cost of goods variance analysis
• Manage all cost accounting activities utilizing Oracle system
• Process and analyze inventory transactions

Preferred Experience:

• Product costing
• Purchase price variance (PPV)
• Absorption accounting
• Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory auditing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (required)
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Cost accounting experience
• Familiarity with Oracle system for cost accounting
