Description
Company looking for an Accounting Clerk to work bank reconciliations.
• Reconciling bank statements is the primary job.
• Reconcile approximately 500+ bank transactions
• Review and investigate aged payroll checks
Reviewing and matching debit and credit entries.
• Compare the company's general ledger (debits and credits) against the bank statement entries.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, such as missing entries, duplicate transactions, or errors in amounts.
• Post adjustments if needed (journal entries involving debits and credits).
• Review outstanding payroll checks to determine if they need to be voided, reissued, or further investigated—again involving debit/credit implications in the accounting system.
• Utilize Sage 100 Contractor software for all reconciliation work (can be trained if someone has worked in similar software)
• Ensure high accuracy and attention to detail in a tedious, data-heavy role
• Support an electrical contracting business with financial record accuracy
• Very little phone work
Temp - 1 month assignment, possibly longer
Pay Rate: $25-$30 an hour
Monday - Friday start time flexible between 7am -8
