What's a typical day as Accounts Payable Analyst? You'll be:
  • Compiling data, computing fees and charges, and preparing invoices for billing purposes
  • Balancing and reconciling batch control totals with source documents or computer listings to locate errors and prepare correction records
  • Preparing itemized statements, bills, and invoices; recording amounts due for items purchased or services rendered
  • Reconciling and posting receipts for cash received by various departments
  • Performing bookkeeping work, including posting data and maintaining records concerning costs and shipments
  • Reporting to supervisory accounting staff and collaborating with related departments
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED (required); Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred
  • Possess 5-7 years of financial and/or accounting experience
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
  • Can work independently and manage your time effectively
  • Are comfortable applying accounting and mathematical principles to daily tasks
  • Have knowledge of federal, state, and company accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Are proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related accounting software
