Kelly Services is hiring a Manufacturing Technician I – Aerospace Masking in South Windsor, CT!

If you're detail-oriented and take pride in precision work, this role puts your craftsmanship front and center. You'll prepare aerospace components for finishing processes by carefully masking metallic and non-metallic parts to exact customer and blueprint specifications. This is hands-on, focused work in a quality-driven manufacturing environment where accuracy matters.

What You'll Do

  • Apply masking tapes, foils, plugs, screws, and related materials to aerospace parts based on blueprint and customer instructions
  • Interpret detailed masking requirements for various part numbers and customer specifications
  • Handle and mask parts weighing 20+ pounds depending on product type
  • Use hand tools to achieve clean, accurate masking results
  • Maintain quality standards and safe work practices throughout the production process
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and customer documentation
  • Support team production goals while working independently when needed
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area

What You'll Bring
  • Previous masking experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and detailed work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Comfort lifting up to 40 lbs and performing repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in physically active environments
  • Basic computer familiarity and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted hours when production demands require

Schedule & Pay
  • Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Full-Time
  • $20.00/hr | Weekly Pay
  • Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
