Kelly Services is hiring a Quality Control Inspector – Level I/II (Aerospace) in South Windsor, CT!
If you're experienced in aerospace inspection and understand that precision is non-negotiable, this role puts you at the center of quality assurance. You'll perform detailed inspections on coated and painted components, verify compliance to technical standards, and ensure every part released meets strict industry and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Conduct quality control inspections on products, materials, and components at various stages of production
- Perform detailed visual inspections of coated and painted aerospace parts
- Read and interpret technical drawings with multiple views
- Verify part and material compliance to written standards and specifications
- Use measuring and test equipment as required by job assignment
- Prepare inspection documentation and write discrepancy reports for non-conforming items
- Communicate quality concerns to department personnel, management, and customers when necessary
- Identify design, process, or production inefficiencies and escalate to Quality leadership
- Follow established procedures and job instructions with minimal supervision
- Support Masking Department operations when workload requires
What You'll Bring
- 2–3 years of inspection experience required
- Aviation/aerospace industry experience required
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with Quality Assurance systems and standards (Nadcap, Military standards preferred)
- Familiarity with regulatory conformity inspections (FAA, Government standards preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Full-Time
- $25.00/hr | Weekly Pay
- Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
- Overtime, nights, and weekends may be required based on production needs
