Job Title: Assembly Packer - 2nd Shift

Location: Augusta, GA

Shift: 2nd Shift, 3 PM - 11 PM

Compensation: $14.15 per hour

Availability: Monday through Friday, Must have 7-day availability as overtime may be required.

Job Description:
We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Assembly Packers. In this role, you will be responsible for packing cookies, crackers, or treats. Your duties will include staging cases, making boxes, and sorting items. This position involves standing for 3-4 hours at a time and requires physical stamina, including reaching above, at, and below shoulder level, as well as lifting and carrying items weighing less than 10 pounds (up to 50 pounds in a material handler position). You will also need to perform frequent repetitive motions with your shoulders, arms, and hands, and maintain constant vision and hearing while working around equipment and machinery, often in a loud environment (above 85 decibels).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pack cookies, crackers, and other treats efficiently and accurately.
  • Stage cases, create boxes, and sort items as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with leads, managers, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Verify code dates on packages and ensure proper package seals are maintained.
  • Uphold the integrity of the product throughout the packing process.

Job Specific Requirements:

  • Adhere to all company-required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes, hairnets, ear plugs, safety glasses, beard nets, bump caps, cut-resistant gloves, and food contact nitrile gloves.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations diligently.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills while collaborating with team members.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
