Position: Assembly Technician
Pay Rate: $23.10/hr
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:15pm–12:45am
Training: All 2nd and 3rd shift employees must complete 4 weeks of training on 1st shift. Position Summary:
You will assemble and test sensors using lead soldering equipment, light TIG welding, and testing devices. You'll troubleshoot components to meet quality and productivity goals, follow production schedules, and ensure that housekeeping and safety protocols are maintained. Key Responsibilities:
- Follow standardized work instructions for printing and assembly of components based on component-level drawings.
- Perform lead soldering and light TIG welding operations as required.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and printing sheets for accurate production.
- Execute quality checks according to established processes and accurately document results according to TE Connectivity's quality procedures.
- Troubleshoot assembly components to ensure both quality and productivity standards are achieved.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with 5S and company standards.
- Strive for first-time assembly success while minimizing material waste.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to support team and process enhancements.
- Comply with TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in soldering and component assembly.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Degree or certification as a Mechatronics/Electronics Technician (preferred).
- Ability to comply with applicable quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to teamwork.
- Effective communication skills and ability to learn new processes quickly.
