Pay Rate: $25.66
Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm – 1:30 am (2nd Shift)
Employment Type: 48 month contract
Work Setup:  Onsite

What's a typical day as a Avionics/Elec Tech I? You will:

  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with installation and function testing of electrical/avionics components by following engineering specifications and maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure all installations are high-quality and efficient; promptly locate and repair malfunctioning systems.
  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring following strict conformity standards, utilizing techniques such as splicing, soldering, and pinning.
  • Perform engineering changes and modifications as required.
  • Set up and operate test equipment; run operational tests to gauge system performance and reliability.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all work completed, readying projects for inspection.
  • Test, maintain, and calibrate test equipment and electronic avionics systems.
  • Comply with company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all relevant safety regulations.
  • Participate in aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as needed.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience OR two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics.
  • Wire handling experience, and ability to use voltage meter.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
