Description

Kelly Services is partnering with a leading manufacturing company who is looking for a Batch Cooker in Boston, MA. If you are interested, please apply to the job using your 2026 resume. 

  • Pay: $22 per hour 
  •  Shift: 7-4pm. 
Responsibilities
  • Organize and document transfers of ingredients (cooler, freezer, dry room, warehouse)
  • Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production work orders
  • Operate industrial batching equipment while following safety procedures
  • Complete batch sheet documentation accurately
  • Understand different allergens in various ingredients
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work surfaces before and after batches
  • Follow safety and quality standards to ensure product safety
  • Inspect for and recognize defective products; escalate quality concerns and adjust as needed
  • Perform routine quality control tests (e.g., aw, viscosity, pH, moisture content, label inspections)
  • Communicate with supervisors and coworkers to maintain smooth production processes
  • Maintain ingredient inventory using Wherefour ERP software
  • Assist with formula scale-up and batch testing on the production floor
  • Properly separate food waste and trash, placing them in designated locations
  • Assist with collecting plant trial and production data for continuous improvement
  • Actively communicate with cross-functional teams
  • Perform other assigned duties as required
Qualifications
  • 1 year of working in the food manufacturing space 
  • Ability to consistently follow recipes without deviation with focus on quality control
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs to chest/shoulder height
