Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Call Center Agent with a leading state agency dedicated to serving Arizona taxpayers and businesses in a dynamic and supportive environment. Why you should apply to be a Call Center Agent:

  • Pay Rate: $20/hr
  • Location: Phoenix AZ 85007
  • Set up: 100% Remote (Candidates MUST live within 1 hour of Phoenix or Tucson, AZ; first day onsite for orientation)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, operating hours 7:45am–5:15pm; Flexible hours as determined by call center needs
  • Employment Type: 6-monrh Contract
  • Training: Intensive 3-week training (8:30am–5pm); attendance is critical
What's a typical day as a Call Center Agent? You will:
  • Answer inbound telephone calls from individuals and businesses in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Resolve Tier 1 tax compliance and information requests
  • Review taxpayer accounts and verify, gather, and update key information
  • Educate taxpayers on online resources and current tax policies
  • Process payment arrangement requests and document actions in multiple systems
  • Participate in team engagement activities and meet performance expectations
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • At least one year of recent consecutive experience in each of your last two fast-paced national call center roles (finance/banking, insurance, telecommunications preferred)
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Goal orientation and a positive, service-minded attitude
  • Ability to retain knowledge easily and work independently
  • Spanish-speaking ability (strongly preferred)
Education Requirements:
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or higher
Additional Details:
  • Must reside in the Greater Phoenix or Tucson metro area and be able to attend in-person orientation on day one
  • Candidates must be prepared to work a flexible schedule as dictated by business needs
  • Fully remote work with required hardwired internet access (no public transportation for equipment pick-up)
  • Candidates responsible for transport of provided equipment (micro desktop, 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset)
  • Must pass all pre-employment checks: state/federal background, fingerprinting, and Arizona tax filing record check for the previous 5 years
  • Short stint work history, switchboard/dispatch-only experience, or public transportation for equipment pick-up will not be considered
