Description

Kelly Science and Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Chemical Lab Technician direct hire position at a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals in Temple, TX. The overall responsibility of the position is to perform sample analyses to ensure that quality specifications are being met for production operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate analyses of in-process and finished product samples
  • Maintain consistent and accurate documentation of results
  • Communicate out-of-specifications conditions to appropriate personnel
  • Keep updated records of calibration, controls analysis, and production quality
  • Inspect instruments and equipment to determine the need for repairs
  • Maintain supplies to support all anticipated needs of the QA Lab
  • Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in the lab area
  • Follow all written and verbal work instructions and safety policies
Qualifications:
  • An Associate's degree in an applicable field of science is preferred
  • 2 years of industry lab experience is desired, but fresh graduates will also be considered
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and policies
  • Analytical analysis experience working with acids, bases, or other hazardous chemicals
  • Ability to trouble shoot equipment and instrument deficiencies and recommend corrective action
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office system to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work a rotating 8 hour shift schedule to include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts which may include weekends and holidays
The initial training schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm. After the training period is completed, assignment to a rotating shift schedule will occur to include 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. The shift may be subject to rotate on a monthly basis depending on business needs. This is a direct hire position with a pay rate of $19-20 per hour.
