Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, II, or III
Location: Training in Clarksville, IN | Permanent Role in Louisville, KY
Schedule: 2:00 AM – 12:30 PM (Mon–Thu or Wed–Sat)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,500

Join our client's growing, cutting-edge molecular diagnostics team focused on infectious disease testing and clinical excellence.

Kelly Science & Clinical are seeking Clinical Laboratory Scientists (I, II, or III) to join our client's state-of-the-art clinical lab team.

Candidates will begin training in our Clarksville, IN facility and transition to a brand-new lab in Louisville, KY (20–30 minutes away) once it becomes fully operational.

This role is a great fit for laboratory professionals looking to make a direct impact in a fast-paced, high-complexity molecular testing environment.

Pay Rate (based on title/experience):
o    CLS I: $30.51 – $37.17/hr
o    CLS II: $32.04 – $39.03/hr
o    CLS III: $33.64 – $40.98/hr
o    Candidates with OpenArray experience may be considered above standard range.

Job Summary:
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will perform molecular testing on human specimens with a focus on PCR-based infectious disease detection. Your work will be guided by strict adherence to CLIA regulations, GMP, GDP, and laboratory SOPs.

Essential Duties:
•    Conduct sample prep, DNA extraction, PCR, and operate instruments such as KingFisher Flex, VeritiPro, and QuantStudio 12K/5
•    Perform accurate manual and electronic pipetting
•    Maintain GMP documentation and participate in internal/external audits
•    Troubleshoot testing issues and support preventive equipment maintenance
•    Uphold unidirectional workflow and contamination control practices
•    Assist with accessioning and pre-analytical operations as needed
•    Complete required CEUs and attend compliance and safety meetings

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field (required)
•    1+ year of high-complexity human sample testing in a CLIA-certified lab (CAP certification may be acceptable)
•    Familiarity with molecular techniques and laboratory safety standards
•    Previous experience with CLIA-certified labs is strongly preferred—please list specific CLIA-certified labs you've worked in
•    ASCP/AMT certification is preferred
