Job Title: CNC Lathe and Mill Machinist
Location: St. Louis, MO
Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
Shifts Available: 2nd Shift (must be able to train on 1st shift; exceptions for outstanding candidates) Company Overview:

We are seeking experienced and skilled CNC Lathe and Mill Machinists to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with Mazak and Fanuc controls, and demonstrate proficiency in operating precision measuring equipment. Candidates must be comfortable working on 2nd shift and able to train on 1st shift if required. Exceptional first shift candidates will also be considered. Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills according to blueprint specifications.
- Select and properly align holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Machine parts to precise tolerances in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Conduct quality assurance checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools, with a strong understanding of measurements down to .001 and .0001 inch.
- Make machine adjustments and modify program speeds and feeds as necessary.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Adhere to production schedules and ensure timely completion of parts.
- Follow all company safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Apply knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or formal machining training preferred.
- Journeyman-level experience is a plus.
- Proven experience operating CNC machines with Mazak and Fanuc controls; experience with Haas machines is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Ability to distinguish between measurements in thousandths (.001) and ten-thousandths (.0001) of an inch.
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.
- Experience working with a variety of metal and plastic materials.
- Excellent technical ability and solid math skills.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
