Position: CNC Mill / Lathe Machinist–Programmer (1st Shift)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist–Programmer to join our growing manufacturing team. This full-time, first-shift role offers the opportunity to work in a clean, modern facility equipped with advanced machining technology. We specialize in producing high-precision components from stainless steel and high-temperature alloys for a variety of industries.
Shift: 1st shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00am – 3:30pm
Wage: $35-$45+/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machine tools, including multi-axis lathes and mills
- Work independently to take raw materials through all stages of production to a finished product
- Select appropriate cutting tools and apply best-practice machining techniques
- Read and interpret customer drawings and technical specifications to plan work
- Determine optimal machine speeds, feeds, tolerances, and operation sequences
- Set up, adjust, and test machines, making trial cuts as necessary
- Perform both hand and machine finishing of parts
- Use precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, CMMs, vision systems, and surface gauges
- Apply shop math, trigonometry, and standard formulas to calculate angles, dimensions, and machining parameters
- Work with CAM software—Fusion360 preferred, Mastercam acceptable
- Collaborate with team members and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 5+ years of machining experience preferred, but open to candidates with strong skills and less experience
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and setup for both mills and lathes
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring instruments
- Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive work ethic
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis (required)
