CNC Mills Job Opening in Carson!
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay Rate: $21.87/hour + $1.00/hour Shift Differential ($22.87)
Now Hiring Entry-Level Machine Operators!
We're looking for a motivated and reliable 2nd Shift Machine Operator (CNC Mills) to join our growing team. This is an entry-level opportunity perfect for individuals who are mechanically inclined and eager to build a career in manufacturing. You'll receive hands-on training and work closely with experienced team members in a supportive and safety-first environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely set up and operate CNC mill machines per established procedures
- Perform machine calibrations, cleaning, and start-up activities
- Use computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs to control and monitor machine operations
- Perform regular machine checks, minor repairs, and basic preventative maintenance
- Accurately record production data, material moves, and scrap transactions in Shop-Trak
- Load/unload materials and maintain clean, organized workspaces
- Identify and report product defects or nonconformances
- Cross-train and assist peers on different machines as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Mechanical aptitude and a desire to work hands-on with machinery
- Basic math and computer skills
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic measuring equipment
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Able to work in a dusty, hot, non-climate-controlled environment
- Able to stand, walk, and lift materials throughout the shift
- Willingness to work off-shift hours and support plant initiatives
- Must demonstrate proficiency in core production tasks within 90 days of hire
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of G-Code (preferred, may be required depending on position)
