Job Title: CNC Maintenance Technician
Location: Yorba Linda, CA
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (4–6 months to convert)
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (flexible as needed)
Pay Range: $35.00–$40.00 per hour

Job Overview

We're seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician to support a high-precision manufacturing facility operating over 50 Swiss CNC machines. The right person will take ownership of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for CNC production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and precision.

This is a hands-on, high-urgency role ideal for someone experienced with Swiss-style CNC machines (Tornos Deco and Citizen) and Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls who enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC equipment and supporting systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.

  • Work directly with Swiss CNC machines (Tornos, Citizen) and automation systems.

  • Diagnose and repair controls, drives, spindles, servos, and limit switches.

  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure equipment meets operational specifications.

  • Follow all safety and hazardous waste handling procedures according to site requirements.

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and assist with spare parts and PM schedule management.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience with Swiss CNC maintenance (Tornos Deco and Citizen required).

  • Working knowledge of Fanuc and/or Mitsubishi controls.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read 24V electrical diagrams and perform troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation.

  • Ability to follow established maintenance procedures and learn proprietary systems.

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

Preferred Experience
  • Background in high-end automotive or precision equipment maintenance (Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, etc.) with strong electrical and diagnostic skills.
