Position: Customer Service Representative
Payrate range: $18 - 20/HR
Shift: AM SHIFT
Duties will include the following:
- Provide information to customers regarding products, processes, and production turnaround times.
- Process work orders received in-person, by phone, electronically, or by hard copy.
- Attempt to sell add-ons or new services and merchandise to existing and previous customers.
- Inform the customer of unit prices, shipping date, delays, and information needed by the customer.
- Wow customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
- Provide estimates and complete invoices.
- Provide logistics oversight to the dispatch department
- Enter jobs into the computer system/first screen billing.
- Examines original hard copy documents for completeness and defects.
- E-mail or call customers with questions regarding orders, when appropriate.
- Examine customer instructions for completeness and understanding.
- Note problems with orders to the production manager(s).
- Consult with production staff regarding costs, deadlines, and communicate information to the customer.
- Route supplies and materials such as artwork, copy, digital files, or prints to work areas to start production.
- Resolve problems with digital orders or obtain assistance from a technical expert.
- Confer with customers throughout production to keep them informed of the status of the job
- Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates/times
- Confer with production or the carrier team to expedite, trace missing or delayed shipments.
- Support other departments and additional tasks, as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Consistent, on-time arrival and daily attendance are a must.
- Previous experience and enjoys working in a Print Production environment.
- A willingness to accept training.
- Ability to effectively promote the products and services of the company.
- Must be able to perform each essential task to successfully meet the requirements of the job.
- Strong competencies with the ability to learn the required software technologies, for example, MFG.
- Communicate effectively with internal team members and external clients.
- Knowledge of the printing industry - specifically AEC, bindery, and finishing is a plus.
- Ability to track orders throughout the production and delivery process and keep customers accurately informed.
- Ability to understand and accurately communicate cost estimate information to the customer.
- Must be able to multitask and work quickly in a deadline-driven environment to meet customer needs.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal help.
