Kelly® is seeking Customer Sopport Representatives to support a premier energy client in Gastonia, NC.
Join a premier energy client as the front-line connection with our customers! As a Customer Contact Representative, you'll answer questions, resolve issues, assist with billing and payments, and help customers navigate challenging situations. Your excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail will ensure each customer has a positive experience.
Location: Onsite in Gastonia, NC
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Job Type: Long-term Contract
Training Schedule: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
Remote Availability: After 6 months of onsite employment (based on performance and business needs) What You'll Do:

  • Respond professionally and efficiently to customer calls, building trust and rapport.
  • Listen to customer needs and provide tailored, courteous solutions on the spot.
  • Meet performance standards and regulatory requirements to ensure superior customer service.
  • Learn and use Customer Information Systems and other applications daily.
  • Assist customers with credit issues, service terminations, and potential gas emergencies.
  • Negotiate payment plans under defined guidelines and refer customers for further assistance when needed.
  • Process accurate documentation and follow up on account work.
  • Achieve targets for customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity.
  • Handle related administrative tasks as required.

What You Bring:
Required:
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Understanding of policies/procedures and customer account management.
  • Ability to calmly de-escalate difficult customer calls.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
  • Strong multitasking ability, team orientation, punctuality, and time management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to different shift requirements.
  • Must complete typing test for consideration.
Preferred:
  • 3+ years of customer contact experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Knowledge of Customer Care Operations, billing, rates, credit, and energy usage.
