Digital Press Operator – Rochester, NY
Pay: $21–$25/hr + $0.50/hr shift differential)
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (+ weekend overtime during peak season)
• Sunday-Thursday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (+ weekend overtime during peak season)

High-volume print manufacturing facility seeking a detail-oriented Digital Press Operator to run and support advanced production equipment, including Canon iX inkjet and HP Indigo digital press platforms. This role is responsible for press setup, job execution, quality checks, and light maintenance while keeping production on schedule.

If you're mechanically inclined, quality-focused, and comfortable working around automated equipment, this is a strong opportunity to grow in digital print operations.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate digital inkjet and toner-based press systems
• Run book and card jobs to meet output and quality targets
• Adjust settings and materials to ensure accurate color and registration
• Operate finishing and bindery equipment as assigned
• Follow daily production schedules and job tickets
• Perform routine cleaning, inspections, and minor machine adjustments
• Keep equipment and work areas organized and audit-ready (5S/safety)
• Monitor output and flag defects or performance issues quickly
• Cross-train on additional machines and processes as needed
• Help onboard and guide newer operators

What You Bring

• 2+ years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production setting
• Print or digital press experience preferred
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Basic computer skills for machine interface and job tracking
• Good communication and listening skills
• Able to manage time and stay on pace with production schedules
• Comfortable reading job specs and work instructions
• Mechanically inclined with willingness to learn new equipment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Education & Training

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Print equipment or digital press training is a plus
• Ongoing cross-training supported
