Tier one supplier and aftermarket parts company has an immediate need for a Director of Supply Chain Management. Seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual to provide a strategic purchasing plan for the company to meet company performance objectives and customer experience. Provide leadership to the purchasing team for the attainment of corporate purchasing objectives that support the OEM/Aftermarket customers.

Position Overview:
• Manages and directs all capacity, supply, and inventory decisions while aligning with strategic business priorities.
• Optimize routines to ensure delivery of supplies and improve supply chain metrics in terms of cost and service.
• Develop supply chain management best practices in areas such as systems integration and optimization, inventory control, and demand planning.
• Supports the growth pipeline by ensuring best in class capabilities are in place for capacity management.
• Provide final analysis of suppliers.
• Lead cost down initiatives on an annual basis.
• Develops and executes required supply chain responsiveness and agility to meet customer needs.
• Support the balancing of demand vs supply decisions and coordinating resolution of major supply chain issues.
• Communicates to operations, executive management and commercial team when critical decisions need to be made.
• Recommends new capacity or other major supply projects.
• Develops and orchestrates system wide supply chain optimizations in the areas of revenue growth, cost, delivery, and working capital.
• Leads collaborative efforts across internal partners to solve complex supply chain issues.
• Supports integration activities resulting from acquisition.
• Stays informed of new Supply Chain technologies and customer needs with an eye towards generating increasing value and lower costs every year.
• Negotiate with assigned suppliers to reduce costs through rebates, discounts, etc.
• Follow the company “ABC” Decision making policy as they related to all purchasing decisions.
• Adhere to TS16949 requirements and guidelines.

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree is required, supply chain or related area preferred.
• 5 years of management work experience with direct reports in a supply chain area with Purchasing being highly preferred.
• Experience presenting and reporting to executive leadership (C Level)
• Automotive Tier 1 experienced preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and processes (forecasting, NPI, planning, supply chain metrics) is required.
• Travel domestically and internationally 25%.  Mexico would be the international travel location.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of business contacts – internally and externally.
