Position: Driver
Location: Graniteville, SC (outside of Augusta, GA)
Hours: 7 AM - 4 PM (standard)
Contract: Temp to hire
Pay Rate: 18.50
Job Summary:
As a Delivery Driver, you will have face-to-face contact with customers as you deliver orders. You will safely drive a truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, providing on-time delivery and good customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and passing along customer feedback and even promoting services and products! One advantage of this role is that it is typically Monday-Friday during the day, and you will be home each night. Responsibilities:
- Transport materials to a customer 5 miles down the road, 2-4 times per day
- Conduct vehicle inspections
- Load and assist with unloading the truck
- Return to the warehouse to repeat the process
- Help out in the warehouse when not driving.
- A driver's phone will be provided
- The driver will use an app to take photos and get signatures
Requirements:
- Forklift certified or willing to get certified (sit-down and stand-up forklifts)
- Operate a 26ft fixed truck (no CDL required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Wear steel-toe boots, shorts or pants, vest, and hard hat (t-shirts are acceptable)
- Pass DOT medical and drug screen
Additional Information:
- Pay rate: $18.50/hr
- Temp-to-hire position, with increasing workload, peaking in the summer
- Handle electrical equipment, conduit, and fittings
- All trucks are equipped with Linnex cameras for safety
- Tobacco-free facility (no smoking or vaping in trucks)
