Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as an Assembly Technician, where you will play a crucial role in assembling electrical and mechanical components used in the production of welding units, accessories, and related equipment. Your work will be guided by instructions from your supervisor to ensure the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical or mechanical components for welding units, accessories, and related equipment.
- Utilize hand and power tools to effectively assemble products.
- Comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions for assembling components and final assemblies.
- Operate various material handling equipment, including industrial lift trucks, overhead cranes, dollies, and handcarts.
- Suggest improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean workspace by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous assembly experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that requires standing and walking for most of an 8 to 10-hour day.
- Capability to bend, lift, and carry products, equipment, and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push or pull products weighing up to 200 pounds.
