Electromechanical Service Technician – West Palm Beach, FL

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking an Electromechanical Service Technician at one of our Global clients in West Palm Beach, FL.  This role is a full-time, fully benefited position.

Title: Electromechanical Service Technician
Location: West Palm Beach (33410)
Pay: open; plus benefits and PTO
Hours: M-F 8-hour first shift.
Duration: One-year contract (possible direct hire opportunity)

Position Summary: Diagnose and repair electromechanical medical products using documented procedures and specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Customer, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Utilize Repair Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures to perform daily tasks.
  • Evaluate customer returned medical equipment for root cause of failure.
  • As assigned, perform Preventative Maintenance and/or Corrective Maintenance Repairs.
  • Perform dimensional measurements to verify conformance to specified tolerances.
  • Conduct tests of electromechanical products as prescribed by drawings and/or procedures.
  • Thoroughly document work performed i.e. but not limited to parts used, test results, and root cause analysis in both writing and photographical in the complaint management software.
  • Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and ensure calibration.
  • Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures including those relating to safety and quality.
  • Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
  • Diligently participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or our Chief Compliance Officer Be familiar and adhere to Customer environmental and safety policies and guidelines.
  • Immediately inform supervisors if there are any violations, deviations or hazards present related to health, safety or environment.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Experience and Education Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience repairing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
  • Analytical and communication skills with the ability to document technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications/Licenses and Affiliations:
  • Computer literate. Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and procedures.
  • Ability to provide detailed documentation of work results.
  • Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and computing rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Understanding of AC/DC circuitry and basic mechanical technology

Desired Characteristics:
  • One year of experience performing troubleshooting and PM on basic electronic, electromechanical or medical equipment following current standards, code, and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Experience interpreting schematic diagrams and perform effective repair and planned maintenance on basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
  • Proficiency in completing electronic documentation using technological tools computer and familiar with technological programs Example: Salesforce.
  • Operate with efficiency and sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments.
  • Empower and inspire others.
  • Ability to deliver results in an uncertain environment, ability to multitask and prioritize.
