EXCITING OPPORTUNITY for a Quality Control Inspector in NORRISTOWN, PA



Kelly® is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to work for a premier manufacturer of toy products in in Norristown, PA. Let us help you grow at work and discover the next step in your career!

Shifts and Pay:

  • Mon-Fri- 8am-4pm
  • $20-$21/hr
  • Temp to Hire

 

Job purpose: To inspect all Finished Product, Incoming Material, Retained Materials, and Special Requests. Will document all work. Will assist with other departmental work as required.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate inspection of assigned materials.
  • Perform required testing of putty and finished products from the assembly line. o
  • Record test results on Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
  • Document all non-conforming test results and include notification to QC supervisor and/ or QC manager.
  • Approve reported testing results. o
  • Place finished putty or finished product on hold if off spec
  • Enter sample data into QC database.
  • Responsible to communicate to manufacturing personnel the status or disposition of in process, in process or finished goods as required.
  • Operate and understand all quality testing equipment.
  • Communicates with QC supervisor, production supervisor or assembly supervisor to correct/sort, when off spec putty are found during the finishing process.
  • Record work performed along with results in a clear and understandable manner, so that all can understand.
  • Report and document all incidents.
  • Use CAPA and Root Cause Analysis to determine cause and prevention. Keep work area organized. Other duties as assigned by manager.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required ; BS preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable
  • material, given standard.
  • Computer competence to include email, MS Office, also internal databases
  • Must have good organizational and record keeping skills
  • Ability to make decisions based on results
  • Demonstrates a high level of ownership/commitment to achieve results.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work a full day on your feet in a very active environment this is not a desk job and lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height.
  • Must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, and kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, and hearing, talking, and seeing.
  • Work environment could include slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fumes or odors
