Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a General Utility Associate with Signode Industrial Group LLC – PDM Brighton, a world-class industrial packaging company that supports global manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain operations.

  • Location: Brighton, MI 48116

  • Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:00AM–2:00PM (Mon–Fri, Saturdays as required)

  • Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

What's a typical day as a General Utility Associate? You will:
  • Set up molds and review job travelers to understand daily production requirements.

  • Identify and apply the correct film for each mold; replace film rolls when needed.

  • Operate foam spray injectors, ensuring correct foam levels based on part specifications.

  • Perform trimming duties and assist with finishing operations.

  • Inspect molds, cushions, and finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Support mold changeovers and maintain an efficiency/indirect average of 80% or higher.

  • Clean and maintain foam spray guns to prevent blockages and downtime.

  • Track, document, and report waste, product issues, or process deviations.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, including scrap removal and floor coordination.

  • Collaborate with production leads and support team operations in a fast-paced environment.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • A High School Diploma or GED (preferred).

  • 2 years of machine operation or manufacturing experience—foam or molding experience is a plus.

  • Ability to read job travelers, follow specifications, and understand production requirements.

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort performing visual quality inspections.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Basic computer, reading, and writing skills.

  • Steel-toed boots (all other PPE provided onsite).

  • A reliable, team-oriented work ethic and motivation to learn new tasks.
