Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) Manager - Anaheim, CA

Pay Rate: $45/hr to $52/hr

Job Description:

Main Accountabilities:

The HSE Manager is tasked with overseeing Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security activities for the Anaheim and Orange, California facilities. This role provides HSE leadership and technical support to manufacturing sites in these areas and collaborates with leadership teams to drive key HSE strategies and continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Job Overview and Responsibilities:
  • Primary HSE Contact: Serve as the main HSE representative for the Anaheim and Orange sites.
  • Leadership Role: Participate as a member of the site's leadership team to offer HSE technical support, guidance, and ensure compliance.
  • Program Implementation: Develop and implement HSE programs, promoting best practices.
  • Auditing and Compliance: Conduct internal audits of HSE programs to assess compliance and identify necessary changes. Ensure compliance with government standards such as OSHA, EPA, etc., and Syensqo HSE standards.
  • Relationship Building: Foster relationships with other GBU HSE departments, the GBU HSE group, and Syensqo HSE corporate personnel.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a HSE leadership role.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Safety, Environmental, or equivalent experience. A Safety Certification like CSP is advantageous.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with HSE government standards and California state regulations.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams for problem resolution.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in previous HSE positions.
  • Successful history as a change agent in driving significant organizational changes towards improved HSE performance.
